Our Night at the Storries

The what: The 2018 Storage awards- an annual event held by the Storage Magazine to celebrate the very best of the storage industry.

The when: Thursday 14th June

The where: London

The who: A diverse group of professionals from the data storage industry.

The Setting

Nestled amongst the River Thames, the Tower of London and St Katherine Docks, the awards were held at the Guoman Tower Hotel, despite hosting over 800 bedrooms, 16 event and meeting rooms, a gym, bar and restaurant, the most impressive thing about the hotel is definitely it’s spectacular setting, with some pretty breathtaking views of the Tower Bridge.

‍Here we have our Marketing Exec Corrie and Tape Media Expert Julie taking in the sights prior to the ceremony.

Meet these ladies at the awards? Connect with them on LinkedIn: Corrie, Julie)

The Food

If you are anything like us, one of the first (and most important) questions to ask about an event is, “what did you eat?”. Well, the menu for the evening was pretty special too, there certainly were clean plates all round.

Cornish crab tian with saffron aioli, citrus salad and crostini
Braised beef feather blade with pomme puree, glazed shallot carrot, garden greens and a Glenmorangie whiskey jus.
Classic lemon tart with stewed strawberry and strawberry ice-cream ‍

The Awards

It was an absolute honour to have been nominated for not one, but two awards at this year's Storage Awards:

1)      Innovation of the Year

For our KIT tape disposal solution (which destroys ALL traces of data on tape media without harming the tape, allowing it to be reinitialised and recycled to be reused as new tape, great for security and the environment, find out more here)

2)      The ‘Ones to Watch’

Following the development of our bespoke and revolutionary solutions, diverse and successful market growth, the creation of a new business strategy and new business branding.

......WE DID IT!

We are absolutely thrilled to be named winners of the 2018 Storage Awards 'One to Watch'.

We feel this award is very fitting for the current 'buzz' within the business, there are certainly very exciting times ahead for the tape media experts at Insurgo Media, watch this space indeed!
