Insurgo Passes ADISA Unannounced Audit with Distinction
Insurgo Media Services are pleased to report that we have passed our ADISA unannounced audit with Distinction.
At the end of 2016, ADISA – the Asset Disposal and Information Security Alliance – reviewed Insurgo’s practices in a routine check after accrediting us earlier in the year.
In June 2016 ADISA, in partnership with the University of South Wales’ internationally recognised test laboratory, confirmed that Insurgo’s KIT data removal tool was able to remove data to a level which withstands attack using COTS forensic and data recovery software.
In addition, ADISA confirmed that the KIT process can protect against any ‘attack by a threat adversary utilising standard magnetic force microscopy tools as well as standard commercial forensic/data recovery tools.
ADISA audits asset disposal company members using UKAS certified auditors, with unannounced operational and forensic audits. This approach means that ADISA-certified companies must perform to the highest level at all times, following strict guidelines. For clients of ADISA-certified companies, this means that they can be assured that their data is being handled and destroyed to the highest, most secure and stringent standards.
Speaking of the ADISA inspection pass, MD Gavin Griffiths said “We’re pleased to end 2016 on a high with this affirmation of our commitment to excellence from ADISA for data disposal as a whole. I would like to give a special mention to my colleague Roy Spiller for all the hard work and for overcoming the many challenges we have faced on our eraser project over the last 4 years.
“We believe in a process of Continuous Improvement and are constantly looking to refine our methods. The Universities Test Lab report confirms what we already believed we had achieved a few years ago – that is total data destruction on tape. It is a fantastic achievement to have our equipment held up to such a high standard and something we owe Roy a lot of credit for.
“This coming year, we aim to add to our portfolio of accreditations and engage with other Testing Labs to give further substance to our offering. The aim is to enable Customers to have total confidence in our service.
“The security of our client’s data is our number one priority, which is one of the reasons why our membership with ADISA is so important to us. Their independent audits look deep into our processes to ensure that we’re doing things correctly for our customers.
“As a result of the continued hard work of the entire Insurgo team, ADISA found just that.”
